Whats the big deal??? (sex, alcohol, weed, ciggarettes)?

I just answered and reviewed a question teens having sex, and how its wrong.... i understand this, but in most states in the US you dont have to be 18, and in my state (PA) you dont even have to be 16, THIRTEEN is LEGAL!

although, when you bring up smokeing weed, drinking alcohol and using ciggarettes, everyone is defensive,

let me clue you in, THIS IS ILLEGAL!

so sex can ruin your life...
these other things can KILL teens, I just dont understand the reasoning here.

What are your opinions on these subjects?

I have a daughter, yes I do at the age of 17 I have a beautiful 2 year old daughter, as a result of failed contraseption. 1 condom that WASNT BROKEN and birthcontrol....

what are your opinions? I really thnk teen sex is one of the least horrible of the horrible things we could do, and I have tried most of them...
you guys are not catching that the main idea is that teens are IGNORANT to the law, ITS RIDICULOUS!!!!

the law is there for a reason! So why dosnt anyone follow it????
 
Um, teens shouldn't have sex because they can bring another life into this world that they're not prepared to deal with. I also don't think that teens should be drinking or doing drugs, but I think that sex is the worst one because it impacts more lives than just the teen's.

Even if the teens are careful and use contraception, the contraception can fail, as you've described, resulting in pregnancy. Best case scenario, the girl goes and gets an abortion, doesn't have sex anymore until she's in a more equipped lifestyle to take care of any "mistakes." But we all know that doesn't happen - mommy and daddy don't allow her to get abortion, or she's "pro-life," or whatever. Who's going to be raising that baby? Oh, a child and MAYBE her parents. I'm sure that baby is going to have a GREAT upbringing.

Drugs and alcohol? Teens KNOW the dangers. They KNOW it can hurt and kill them if they're not careful. Schools do a great job of educating them nowadays, and most parents do, too. If a teen chooses to do one or both of these things regardless, the decision is on THEM, they are harming THEIR OWN body... NOT anyone else's. Sure, they also knew the dangers of sex, but now we've got this new life involved in this situation who never asked to be involved.

Teens are not these innocent little kids. The ones who choose to do ANY of these things are either choosing to be ignorant or just plain stupid. Any harm they cause to themselves is THEIR OWN FAULT - but when they have sex, they can do a lot more than harm only themselves.
 
i been smoking weed sence i was 9

smokin cigs sence i was 15

drink sometimes every 2 weeks mayb or more/less

and i jus started haveing sex this year

and im perfectly fine
 
because you cant control other peoples actions? it doesnt matter if the law is there, people are gonna do what they want, and jsut because u dont like it is going to change anything.

Young teens (as in under 16, otherwise, despite what you say, it is ILLEGAL) should not be having sex. but they still do.

Because its exciting.

and just for your information there hasnt been one recorded death by marajuana...EVER. so your wrong there.
And did you know that ANYONE is legal to drink and smoke. The law actually states that it is just illegal to PURCHASE it or for anyone legal to PURCHASE it for the minor, until they are allowed.

Please, do your research before you bitch.

Oh, and i think ur full of bullshit saying that you have a child even though you used an UNBROKEN condom and the pill???

I understand falling pregnant with one or the other, but do you know the chances of falling pregnant by BOTH???

Either your lying or ur girlfriend wasnt being very honest with you.
 
well, i think i am a pretty good kid (im 19). never been in any legal trouble or anything and in college studying to be a chemical engineer and i disagree.

doing that stuff is just normal stuff that teens and young adults do. lets not be naive here. as long as you dont overdo any of that i think you are fine. i actually think the worst thing a teen could do is to have sex, but thats just my opinion

for the record i have smoked both weed and cigarettes, consumed alcohol but never had sex. im waiting until marriage
