What's the big deal about sex?

Other than the chance of STDs and becoming pregnant, why is sex such a big deal, especially in religion? What makes it so sacred? When it all comes down to it, it's just a male making contact with a female. I'm not necessarily saying it's not special, but if it is then why? Why do some people think you'll go to hell if you have it before marriage?

I don't understand it either. It's a fantastic thing! But modern day christians should thanks their lucky stars ...

because about 300+ years ago the Catholic Church made it illegal and TAXABLE I might add for anyone to have any kind of intercourse without conception ... even under marriage. In fact to some marriage was a sin.

Marriage is a Pagan celebration.
 
It might not be the same for men- but I would dare say that most girls HONESTLY really DO think the man she sleeps with is going to love her forever and take care of her.

That is why you get so many unwed mothers now, even tho EVERYONE knows about free birthcontrol. Don't tell me they do not know- I knew in the 60's! They taught all that in school, buddy.

These girls today take chances on purpose because they really think it's love. And their hearts get broken. It takes an emotional toll.

Otherwise, sex is just another body function if you want to get down to it.

But it does have rather high repercussions, doesn't it? Like the guys being dragged into court for child support and being constantly harrassed and no money left over. The two women in his life always bitching about the other....

Yes, the STDS... sex is like fire- wonderful when in it's place, and good- but out of it's proper spot- devastating.
 
The union between a husband and wife who waited for eachother,and are meant to be. Besides your body is the holy temple of God and not meant for fornication.

Premarital sex doesn't send you to hell. Not being saved does. And if you feel that it's ok to be such a casual thing why do you think someone waiting is such a big deal??

It's great to know your partner has never been touched and their virginity is a gift to you unless you're into sloppy seconds
 
I understand population control, but other than that, sex is pretty much great. Unless you are looking at huge, ugly people banging. Then that is pretty much disgusting.
