What's the better car? Toyota 4runners or Nissan Pathfinders or Xterras? '?

Thinking about getting one of the three above mentioned SUV's used,price range anywhere between $4K to 9K,from like 1999 to 2006 and hopefully under 80K in milage,but which one's better overall and from what years' model should I stay away from?
 
Nissan SUVs, contrary to most people's belief, are actually more bulletproof than Hiluxs. They're also better performers.
 
The current model Toyota 4Runner is based on the same platform as the Land Cruiser, it has the excellent Torsen center differential, I would look for an 2003 and newer in good condition.

Your wanting a 2006 for $9,000 good luck any of the above trucklets will provide good performance. A 3.3 liter 1999 pathfinder used a timing belt Toyota also used timing belts. Just rememner you may be buying some one elses problems. One owner the newer the better but that means more money.
