a) Get a good cast iron skillet and put it on the stove over medium heat.
If you don't have one, you can use a Teflon-coated one over slow heat.
b) While the skillet is still cold, place the bacon strips on it with no added oil or any type of shortening.
c) The bacon will slowly cook on its own fat, you may have to turn the strips over to guarantee even cooking.
d) When the strips are crisp, take them out and place over paper napkins to cool.
