whats the best way to clean a PS2 Disc?

i have a guitar gero disc that i cant copy all the files the MAIN Ark filea dn i need it cleaned wel lthe scrathches removed
 
so your trying to make a copy of the game and think cleaning the disk will make it work?! lol
 
NEVER USE TOOTHPASTE OR ABRASIVES (Sorry for the caps, but this is important, toothpaste ruined my disc)

Use water and neutral soap only.
