I'm 22. I have a bank account and I pay a phone bill on a regular basis, but the cars I've bought are used and from a local man who doesn't finance through banks- so I have basically no credit. My question is, with a low income and not much money to spare what's the best way to start taking small steps to building my credit? Someone suggested I get a credit card from a clothing store like Belk, something not too difficult to pay off. Any other suggestions?
