Whats the best twist ever in a film?

I know someone slagged it off earlier but, personally, I loved it. It's slow, meandering, hardly a plot, but if you find the guy who plays ND, with his nerdy mannerisms, funny then it's great.

and i'm still waiting for the *twist* in the harry potter books to be that blokey who scarred harry turns out to be his father, a la star wars.

i've teased my wife mercilessly that harry potter is just star wars in a different setting, so i'd so love that to be what happens!

Iain :D

Yes, is that the thing with the photo of him at the end? I didn't get that either.

Explanation would be appreciated! :)

Identity has an interesting twsit in it. Very unexpected.

Please don't flame me for a wasted post, but trying 'spoiler tags' before I post my real message
spoiler test, please disregard...

Memento stars Guy Pearce, Carrie-Anne Moss and Joe Pantoliano and is pure class. The main characters in Saw are mainly people I don't recognise, apart from Danny Glover.

Those two films have good twists. The Village has perhaps the stupidest (if that's a word) twist ever.

The village, which you expect to be set in the 19th century is in the middle of a park in the 21st century.

Woo Hoo, it worked...
I really like Fight Club, released same year as sixth sense, but everybody talks about SS and never mentions FC
I never twigged that Ed Norton never says what his name his until I watched it the second time....

The sixth sense twist is RUBBISH! I guessed the ending from the blurb on the poster in the queue to buy tickets for it (I also told my boyfriend my theory, and he was not happy when I turned out to be right - he still says I spoilt it for him on purpose!)
The same goes for all M Night Shyamalan films - I do not get the big fuss about him at all!

The best two films for a twist are Fight Club and The Others. I had no idea what was going to happen in either of those.

I thought the twist in 'Identity' was good except right at the very end... if you've seen it you know what I'm on about

The Usual Suspects & Fight Club...

I would also say Vanilla Sky, although it's not a twist as such, but more left to your own interpretation (at least that's how it seemed to me).
