whats the best soundtrack for a film you have brought ?

Natural Born Killers

None of the songs were very well known, but they all perfectly suited the mood, and there were snippets of dialogue from the film woven into it. 27 tracks on one CD.
 
Requiem for a dream, Amores Perros, Out of Sight. They all mix the film score with other bits of music really effectively. For just a collection of different tracks, the Lost in Translation soundtrack is really good.
 
Run Lola Run is a good one, I like a score to one of the director's other films, The Princess and the Warrior, wonderful score from the film.
 
I suppose it'd be a close call between Tarantino's soundtrack back catalogue, Grosse Point Blank and Garden State. That said, there have been a number of great soundtracks that I haven't yet purchased ... ;)
 
I know i'll probably get a back lash for this but the Team America soundtrack is one of my faves cos it cheers me up. Bloody hilarious.

I have to go for soundtracks where the direction and music seem to be joined at the hip! Like...

Sergio Leone, Ennio Morricone
Bernard Herrmann, Alfred Hitchcock
Steven Spielberg, John Williams

There are a ton of songs I like. But they are kinda like candy floss compared to the masters!

SPICE WORLD . :rolleyes: ..........heeheeehee - not really I don't know about best ever, but ones that spring to mind are, Star Wars, The Lost Bots, Dazed and Confused (don't own it, but the music to the film is cool) And the soundtrack to Clueless was brilliant in terms of how it worked with the scenes in the fim etc - that's not to say I loved all the songs though! Johnny Darko soundtrack is cool, and so was Pulp Fiction and Resevoir Dogs back in the day.. Oh and Shaun of the Dead - FANTASTIC ;)
 
It has to be HACKERS.. such a great soundtrack... and i'm not even that big of a techno dance fan.. but nearly all of the tracks sound great!

Then it would have to be THE MATRIX soundtrack.. very good for blasting in your car.

And of course THE LOST BOYS another good soundtrack to play loud!
