Angel Heart is a great soundtrack, very moody and full of mellow songs.
Platoon is very good (Adagio for Strings is always used for adverts or in TV programs and was turned into a dance track).
Also:
The Lost Boys
Reservoir Dogs
Pulp Fiction

hi everyones, i was wondering what everyones favourite soundtrack to a film was

i have a lot including mean girls, bring it on, save the last dance, and some others

Quadrophenia is my favourite ever soundtrack.

Shaun of the Dead
The Lost Boys
Reservoir Dogs
Trainspotting 1 and 2
Lock Stock
The Wedding Singer
Top Gun
Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone
Gladiator
Tommy
About a Boy

Yes, that's great.

My favourite is probably the Woody Allen film Manhattan (all Gershwin tunes).

Other contenders are Angel Heart, The Cotton Club, and The Commitments.

The whole Virgin Suicides album from Air is pretty good.

I forgot to mention Dead Man's Shoes soundtrack. They had no money left for music, so they went to a load of unsigned artists for songs such as Adem, M Ward, Clayhill, Calexico, The Earlies and so on. A lot of these artists have since released brilliant debut albums.

I don't actually count these as soundtracks*, as they don't really add to the feeling of the film in my opinion, ust a collection of popular music in the background.

Kill Bill, for me.

*They obviously are soundtracks, but are just collections of music, as aposed to the music of a film like Star Wars, where it is thoughtfully done or even composed for the film.

I personally think that Alien3 has one of the best soundtracks ever created.

Other than that...

Empire Strikes Back
Lord of the Rings Trilogy
Star Trek 1
Star Trek 2

I've not actually seen the movie, I just downloaded that song when I hear dit on the offical website I think.
I've just got Suicide underground which is a bit strange but I like it.
Must get round to seeing that movie.

I forgot to mention I like the phantom of the opera soundtrack to.
