What's the best photo uploading tool for S60?

I have been playing around with photo uploaders on my N70 for the past couple of days, and havent found any that were the "total package."
-Shozu: The best so far, because of its one-touch upload feature. However, I had it installed on my mmc, and noticed that my phone was slowed down considerably. Uninstalled Shozu, and there was an imediate and very noticable difference in UI/execution speed. This was fixed though, by installing the prog on my phone memory though. The other thing that I dont like about it, is it takes about 5-10 seconds to ask me if i want to save. So many times I'm already taking my next picture when it pops up. Overall, the integration feels "cluncky."
-Nokia Uploading Tool: This one was alright, and since it came from nokia, i really wanted to like it. I liked the integration into the send options. But, after that, it becomes cumbersome. WHen you click on "web upload" it opens the damned app, that takes some time, then you click through a couple more opitons, and that takes some time, and well, its just not as simple or intuitive as I'd like.
-ZoneTag: Like the implementation alot (i.e. it asks almost imediately if i want to upload or not). However, there a couple of things I do not like about it. I do not want to open the app, just to make sure it will capture and send. I want it to be running in the background, or to have an option built in to the cameras menu, so i have to press no more than 2, maybe 3 buttons. Second, i uploaded 3 photos from my phone to flickr using this service, and it didnt work. None of them are there. That last part is kind of a big a problem. And yes, its set up as it should be.
-Yahoo!Go: WHen this first came out, like last year, it had a plugin that allowed you to send directly from the camera application to photos.yahoo. That is no longer there. Besides which, it is extremely slow and bloated, and overall, it just seemed like a total POS.

SO, that about sums it up, as far as my testing has gone. I would be really interested to know which programs are used here, why the user likes them, and of course, any suggestions to me for using the applications better. Honestly, if zonetag were always available, and did not require me to start the app, I would probably be using that. So if anyone knows how to get around that issue, besides any app from psiloc (because i hate them), then let me know.

Same goes for the nokia app. If anyone has any suggestions on how to better utilize the app, please let me know.

I've gone back to ShoZu. But I'll acknowledge the 2 things you mentioned.

1. It needs to be installed to the phone memory
2. I just set mine to automatically upload without asking, and then I go delete pics later. You could also set pics to private by default and then log on later and public them.

I've tried numerous options, but ShoZu is definitely better, and they've improved the RAM usage, I've noticed.

Rcadden: Nice suggestion on the set to private then go through and set to public later... Unfortunately, a big reason why i got this soft, is so i can take a pic, imediately upload, and then provide someone with the link (like when I'm on WirelessIrc). I need to be able to do all that stuff on my phone, and further, provide links, manage photos, etc through oprea mini. its easy enough to find the photo, copy the bookmark, and post it wherever, but to manage account settings, access properties and the like for each photo i want to show someone, well, it would be tedious to say the least.
But anyways, I appreciate the suggestion, and will fiddle around in Flickr to see what my options are in that regard.
GREAT*blog btw. Read it every morning.

Kind regards,
Phono

Thanks.

I'm intrigued in how to get this done for you. Is there any reason you wouldn't want it set to just automatically upload everything as public, and then you can go through and delete unwanted pics later?

Rcadden, thanks for the interest.
Um, I guess the reason why I wouldnt want EVERYTHING uploaded to my public Flickr account, is because, its public, the link has already been passed out in some circles, and I dont think my girlfriend would be all to enthused if she saw some uh... compromising pictures popping up on there. You know??? I dont use the camera on my phone for strictly phone-nerdiness
But yeah, that would be the BIG reason why I wouldnt just upload willy-nilly (good word... I dont use that often enough)
Again, thanks for the help, and looking forward to any insights you or others might have.

I definitely second Shozu as the best. I've tried others, but Shozu just gets the job done cleaner. I've always set it to ask me each time I take a pic whether I want to upload or not... so I can upload the ones I want, and not others. One extra click to do that, works for me.

But the internal memory issue with Shozu SUCKS, I agree. However, on another thread one of the Shozu developers mentioned that they are going to have a "kill" button on Shozu that will easily turn the service off and on... so for those who have the issues of not being able to use your phone in Mass Storage mode, you can just turn it off real quick. This is supposedly in the upcoming Shozu 3.0 release.

So basically you want to take a picture, and then be asked if you want it public or private, and then have it upload accordingly. Seems like a reasonable feature. In the settings they could just have something like:

Automatic uploading: yes no
Mark Pictures as: public or private or always ask

So you take a picture, it will ask public(press 1) or private(press 3) or whatever. Maybe you should contact Shozu, this seems like a reasonable request.

Blue13x, this seems like an almost perfect answer to my needs.... Will this vox app upload photos to anywhere (i.e. Flickr)? Or only to Vox? If it can upload to anywhere, than it would seem that it's the answer. If not, then it would definitely be worth checking out, regardless.
Thanks for the suggestion, i'll look into it.

I think Vox only uploads to Vox, however you can configure your Vox blog to send to Flickr as well (I think). I actually still prefer Shozu over Vox though.

I actually just wrote an easy how-to on this topic. Lemme know if it helps.

Vox blogs are also made to work with flickr, but this has to be done on their site.
Flickr is more about pictures only (with somes text), vox is more of a blog with videos, pics and text.
But they do work with each other (flikr and vox)

Rather than using lifeblog I've decided to run with Shozu but it seems to be sucking up 3mbs of RAM. Last night I was getting around 18.4 mbs on boot with active standby set to off and about 18 with it on. Now, after a reboot I'm getting 15.4 with the active standby on. WTF? SHozu is constantly running in the back ground? The RAM is scarce as it is on the N95 and I don't need more of it being sucked up by a program that remains idle and unused most of the time. I'm about to throw down the the big DELETE as it's just not worth it to me. I'll roll with life blog if It's a matter of constantly running....

edit: deleted it and it's bumped my usable RAM to 20.6 on a reboot with the active standby running. It's too bad as it's easily the best uploader I've used. As Olly mentioned, if there is a kill switch in the works so it's not running in the back ground I would be into it. Otherwise, the RAM it sucks up makes it not worth it.

It certainly gets my vote! I've never done the "snap and post" thing before, so I decided to give VOX a try after reading this thread, and it's amazing:

1. I signed up for a free account.
2. Five minutes later I took a photo using my E65.
3. I then used my E65 (and free Broadband Wi-Fi) to email the image to my VOX account (they give you a dedicated email address).
4. Badabing badaboom, the photo instantly appeared on my VOX account for my family to see.

The crazy part is that I downloaded the VOX sisx software for Series 60 but (doh!) I forgot to install it before emailing my image. However it still worked like a charm, and it instantly posted the image to my VOX account.

For me, not needing to add more potentially UI-slowing software onto my E65 is a huge attraction.

My dos pesos!
