what's the best Jane Austen book? or one from that time period?

Or really any book set in that time period. which one is the best read? :) i liked sense and sensibility . . . . but not as much as wuthering heights. i know they're completely different, but just so ya know.

Please read all of Miss Jane's books. My favorite part of being a fan is this: I can like all her books and not pick a favorite. In fact I tell people my favorite JA book is the one that has them all in it!

I like the realism of Jane's books rather than the gothic romances of the Bronte' sisters. You may or may not agree, so read them all! I understand one of the Bronte sisters once asked of Miss Jane, "Where's her heart?" It just wasn't on her sleeve as the Brontes' were.

I loved Pride and Prejudice. I recommend that one all the way! The movie wasn't bad, either. I would someday like to read Wuthering Heights, and in fact, when I went on a library stop today I found that it'd already been checked out. Ah, well. Someday.

I like Persuasion the most. Then Pride and Prejudice. Then Sense and Sensibility.

I didn't really get into Wuthering Heights, but I loved Charlotte Bronte's Jane Eyre.
