What's the best car stereo system?

I've had a lot go'n on, but hopefully next year, I'll be able to buy a project car. I'm gonna try to save up some money, to buy a car, and trick it out, but I figure I'd get some Idea's for the sound system. I've heard both good and bad things about X'plods but my brother's two twelves, with a five hundred watt amp was better than most people's thousand dollar system.

Can anyone tell me what speakers sound good, and what cd players are as well.

It depends on how much you're willing to spend. If money is no burden, then you can go with all top of the line stuff and leave those thoughts of Sony Xplod behind you!

For beginners, I'd start off with Alpine. If you want to kick it up a notch I'd go with JL (W6 or W7). If you want to take it to a whole other level I'd suggest Fi or RE Audio.

Well he only went against thousand dollar cars. And no sony is not for a project car. If you want a good system to put in a project car you need to put Focal or Morel speakers in your car. They need to be amped and the doors need to be dynomatted. Then you need to buy whatever headunit you want( but needs to be good because clarity of music is affected by this). Then you can pick from Kicker or Rockford or any other good brand of subs that have good bass but i would stick with Focal cause they will sound best with the Focal or Morel speakers

My Dear, Jason. The choice always can be made based on how many bucks you have at disposal? Starting from 850$ you can configure good musci system.

A lot of info is needed before we start
Whats the car type? What speakers it takes? Wether it takes dual dinn ot single dinn headunit? Ho many watts you wanna enjoy? and more...
