it ran for a week on the new alternator but after like 3 days the charge light was going on and off, like the alternator would charge it then decide it didnt wanna do it anymore.....now it died this morning, and i dont know what else could be going on.....
I have a 1991 cutlass supreme, recently it had the charge light for the battery come on and it died, i have replaced the alternator and two fuses that were bad.....whats wrong with my car? could it be the spark plugs what is it?

OK you've got a new alternator. Test it. Place a voltmeter over your battery terminals while the engine is running. Optimal charging voltage is 13.8 volts (14) If this voltage is under 12Volts maybe your battery or alternator is kapoot, or it could be your battery teminals. Often dirty battery temrinals are the problem. Take them off clean them with emery paper or a file, replace them and put grease on them to prevent further corrosion. If this doesn't fix the problem do a load check on the battery. Turn on the engine if you can, and then turn on the headlights if the the lights are dim and vary a lot in intensity as you rev the engine your battery is kapoot. Don''t discount the possibility that your new alternator is not good. Also check the earth/chassis connection for your battery/alternator. Unbolt it, clean it and the connection point on the chassis with steel wool/ emery paper and replace. Generally many automotive ignition/charging problems can be solved by cleaning the corrosion around electrical connections at the battery terminals and earth/cahssis conection. Good luck
