Their first album was the best. The only thing off TCATS I thought was good at all was Everlong.

:laughing: wow, who the **** cares how they hold there instruments, the arctic monkeys are one if the greatest british indie rock banRAB out there right now, although i do find them very very similaar to the liberitines.
as said before, maybe dave grohl does have a huge musical talent, but the foo fighters have given up tryign and have become a boring, typical radio rock band (although i am a bit of a fan still) The arctic monkeys are a billion times better, more creative, exciting, no doubt

Well yeah, the music is of course very very important, just as importatn as the lyrics, but i find that i tend to not like the song if it has really bad lyrics.
unless of course the music is so incredably good that it doesnt matter

Ya, he's one of the worst lyricists I've legit ever heard. I'd actually go as far as to put him on par with Chad Kroeger in the lyrics department.

the new foo fighters album is good but they have but a few songs that i actually like.

There isn't a lot of pop music that I like but... hate it because it sucks, not because it's popular.

They had a few Libertine-esque elements on their first album, particularly the guitar style. The second album however seems to have totally gone off in another direction. I'd say what they have now is entirely their own sound.
