I live in San Bernardino CA. I just purchased a ruger air hawk and was zeroing in the scope in my backyard and I had gotten it zeroed. I saw a bird on top of my neighbors roof so I shot, it died and rolled onto their balcony. I didn't know I actually hit it. He came to the balcony and asked if I shot it down and I said yes. What am I gonna say that I didn't when I'm o er here shooting lol.

What are the worst case scenarios?
Could he call the police and have him cite me?
Can I get in trouble for shooting game especially if it lands in his yard?
Where am I actually allowed to shoot my rifle?
Give me scenarios.

Go apologize to him, tell him it will never happen again, and he shouldn't call the police. If he does, you can get a ticket, and possibly even your air gun confiscated. You can also get nailed with numerous game laws.
