Well, there has been this controversy with me and my boyfriend and when we get on politics it seems that he always thinks any news is right and fair especially CNN where i had to disagree from watching it myself. Seeing how they bashed Mccain alot during is election and praising Obama like the new world king? AND when I watch Fox news it shows both sides and I like it how it does that but what is your opinion on this? I will like to know more thank you guys.
Btw I dont just mean the election I also mean it overall.

I think they're both pretty awful, FOX just likes to heap blame and stir up fear, and CNN is full of feel good b/s. I suggest you avoid them both, there are many better options that actually report news.

Fox is fair and balanced, the left hates facts, and therefore hate fox. Ask your boyfriend if hes even ever heard of acorn.

Fox...they are populated with more than one political ideology. I don't watch Geraldo or Hannity for example--because they both show their ideology so transparently. But they do have MORE THAN ONE viewpoint represented. Unfortunately, because Congress and their lapdogs of complicit media--people have allowed their minds to be polluted with the "FOX is evil" mantra without actually spending a few days to watch all of the programming to make an informed decision. I can't stand O'Reilly or Geraldo--but will occasionally tune in just to see where they are and their take on a situation. You can better come to a conclusion by seeing several viewpoints.

Fox news is the jerry springer of cable news. Cnn is a very viable source of information and has been for a long time. Case closed. Maybe you just need to watch what you like, but CNN is more in the middle and saying something bad about McCain especially after picking the Jerry Springer show of Sarah Palin, I would not hold this against them.

To get a meaninful answer to this, you need to write down some objective things to look at in comparing these outlets.

Make a list of specific things that you can call 'bias,' and tally them as you watch the programs.

If you don't do that, then 'bias' will be a very subjective, and arguable thing that you can't put your finger on.

I spent yrs watching nothing but CNN and MSNBC,I didn't even know that Fox news existed. When my hubby and I moved to a new town we subscribed to a different cable company that offered Fox as well as CNN,and MSNBC. I was shocked at the difference of reporting Fox shows all sides and shows many differing viewpoints. Fox is more fair and balanced.
