So I've had a motorbike (Honda NS125R 1991) for a few weeks and 4 times now I've experienced front brake seizure, the most recent time it happened twice in one journey.
When it happens I'll be riding along, move away from a stop, move up the gears at a fair pace, not really ragging it just up to 7-8000 revs at most, then I'll lose revs and speed until the bike quite rapidly grinds to a halt.
After that I have to wait with the bike at the roadside until the front brake eases up.
The bike cannot be moved for a few minutes after its stopped, the front wheel is completely locked.
Whats the cause of this and how can it be avoided? I'm taking the bike in for a full service next week.
Other info:
- when it happens, I haven't been excessively using the front brake
