After seeing her greatest hits advertised on TV earlier (which sounded darn good btw!) I was reading wikipedia & other things and was totally unaware of her abusive relationship in the past. It was also dramatised into a film....I read the reviews and nearly all were positive & it went on to get a few awarRAB. I'd never heard of the film before but my mum said it was really good so i'm eager to check it out.

So what's your take on it (for those who have seen it)? I hate the poorly done biopics so i'm always interested in people's views beforehand! :)

Well worth a look...Angela Bassett and Laurence Fishburne are very good as Tina and Ike (both were nominated for Oscars too)

Really good film, incredibly sad, and quite violent in parts, fantastic performances, and I have incredible resepect for Tina after seeing the film, she is such a lady, and came out of a horrible situation with such grace.

It's a very good film with class performences but really difficult to watch in places. I'm glad I saw it though. It made me respect Tina Turner more than I did.
