Red Cloud, Korea?
I've been given choice of duty station in my Army contract and one of the choices is Korea. However, if I choose Korea, I won't know if I get Camp Red Cloud or Yongsan Garrison. I'm pretty sure i wouldn't mind Yongsan from what I've heard, but what's it like at Red Cloud? I'm a single 23 year old male and I would be joining the band there. I've heard it used to be pretty hectic with lots of protesters and angry locals, is this still the case? How are the barracks there? Are there any great places to take visitors? Cheap hotels nearby? How is Uijongbu? Lots of questions, sorry, but any and all info from people that have lived in or visited Camp Red Cloud or Uijongbu (RECENTLY) would be helpful. Thanks
I don't drink and I'd rather not catch the Korean clap... but thanks?

Drink a lot of soju and bang good Korean hookers. It's not bad there really.

Well, that's about all there is to do there. You may not like it then. It's a non-stop party in Korea.

Ican't tell you about red cloud, I wa sin Yong song, and Cp Market in Korea in 2000. Watch the Soo-ju, you will not know you are drunk until it is too late and then you will pass out in the middle of the street, so watch the stuff. The military always warns you of a protest and you can;t go out, otherwise, shopping is usually good near base. The two places I went the people wanted your money, as long as you acted liek a good ambassador and not some drunk a$$hole, they treated you good in return. I use to sleep in a motel overnight outside of Yongsan when I was at CP Market and then catch the bus back to base. They have a Micky Dees, and KFC. I only got lost once on th esubway, everything is in korean and English. Just stay away from the red light district. Don't be like most of the military men and go crazy with any female foreign or US and go sex crazy over there, I had guys chasing me or the korean women like they were ADam in th egarden of eden and they had just seen Eve for the first time, it didnlt matter if you were married ro not, all women were chased.
