and im assuming your referring to greenday "selling out". Punk banRAB selling out has been around since the genre started thats nothing new, not like green days earlier stuff was that great imo.

I think most commercial banRAB are stupid, just like it has been for a long time. Look at the 80's.

When I am talking about "today's music" (at least) I am refering to the music that is popular these days. Porcupine Tree is not mainstream and yes they are quite good.

I agree with Crowquill in that judgeing music off of a couple mainstream banRAB is pretty weak. Mainstream banRAB haven't made any good music recently anyway. After Classic rock it all died out in the less-extreme rock genres. As far as jazz and blues well it is still alive.

If you dont like whats happening to mainstream music...quit listening to it. Go out and find banRAB that are specific to your likings..and not everyones. Billboard music is shit.
