What's happening to my little slice of paradise??

I would have to say because I have never witnessed anyone being shot, it would be devastating to me and I would want to get the fuck out as well. Just because there wasn't stray bullets this time, doesn't mean at some point witnesses aren't the next target to keep the evil-doers out of jail. No one wants to be victimized like that. *hugs* Hope you find some euforia soon, Steel.

but on a serious note the world is going to shit.. even here in Bumfuck texas the murder rate doubled... as in 2 people have been shot since 1983... instead of just the one....

Why so sad about drug dealer died? You know, selling drugs isn't exactly selling ice-cream to kids! They have to deal with crackheads who motivated with one simply thing - get another dope by any means. They knew they would face one day something like that! I mean, they've chosen dangerous path, they tapped into their own trap. I understand You worried about peace and rest, but sometimes there's terrible things happens. Decision to relocate is good because You'll let some fresh into Your life at least.
 
Not to mention overpenetration. It's not unheard of for a bullet to hit its target, but then proceed to pass through the target and go on to hit something else. Like a SteelAsp. Bullets are fast and humans aren't very thick.
