Whats going on with my 2001 Honda Civic LX?!? Please help! (first time Honda owner)?

I have a 2001 Honda civic lx that I purchased used a few weeks ago. I took it in for an oil change and got hit with the usual list of dealer add ons (fluid flushes, etc) and up sells.. Some of which I admit I fell for.. But I was skeptical of the battery test because it was a cold day. I got it retested at autozone, and they said the battery was fine. This was about two weeks ago. Within that two weeks, I've noticed that my car starts to loose power.. Like the radio stays on, but the lights on the dash dim whenever I accelerate or come to a stop, and I notice that the ac blows a much warmer temperature while this is going on. When this happens the car really lags to pick up as well...sometimes it feels like I have to floor it just to get to 30mph.. And the rpm goes up to 3 when this happens... Don't know how good or bad that is...

It also rolled backwards a bit today on an upward slope which really freaked me out. The power loss improves a bit when I turn off the ac (Miami is hella hot so I need this fixed! Asap! Lol). My question is do I truly need a new battery? Could that be the problem? Or is my alternator starting to go? Or possibly something else? Will cleaning the corrosion off of the battery connectors help? There's a lot of it.. (and how do I do that?) thank you thank you thank you in advance for your help.. This is my first Honda and I want to be good to it. :)
