And you are wrong, the CBR 600 is water cooled and 410 lbs, the air cooled Ducati with a bigger motor is 369 lbs.
And if the nod goes to the air cooled twin, also look at Buell, they have some pretty sharp bikes in comparable price range that have bigger motor and lighter weight than the CBR 600.
Top speed goes to the ducati (166MPH vs 162.5) Someone on a forum said his 848 runs a 10.4 quarter so add what i like to call the "internet reality factor" and you're probably right around 11. A cbr600rr should be running 11.3 give or take a few tenths. I believe the 848 bike was engineered to match a 750cc four cylinder
