Most sites have pretty decent facilities, showers, etc. Many have some kind of play area for children - but these vary in size & quality. Most play areas would not cater for 14 year olds, though about 8 years ago we went to one in Cornwall where the play area was just amazing - a huge 30 ft slide, a zip slide, as well as things for younger children - toy fort, sandpit etc.

It depends what kind of site you're going to, & how big it is, but some have games rooms - table tennis etc & you could meet new friends your own age, especially if it's a big site. Most people don't stay on the campsite all day anyway; I'm sure you'll go & visit the nearby towns, tourist attractions, or the beach.
