I wanna be a marine in the future, and I dont know if I have it in me to go through the training, will a marine preferably tell me what it's like and everything you do?
Ok thanks....Im not afraid of taking orders and yelling though, im just wondering about physical aspects of it

Go on youtube and look up "ears open eyeballs click"
you'll get a taste of Marine Recruit Training. good luck!

You will be ragged on relentlessly. Any character flaw you have will be targeted. You will be forced to do degrading tasks and asked to thank your Drill Instructor for more of them. You will go without sleep for days on end, carry heavy loads, then given mental tasks to figure out.

The goal of Marine Basic is to break you down like an enemy would if you were captured. YOU won't exist. You will become a sleep-deprived robot. The physical stress is only applied to accentuate the mental stress. It's all about reprogramming your mind.

Your rack (bed) will be made to certain standards, which you will never meet. Your clothes wil be hung up in a certain manner, which you will always get wrong. Your brass (insignia) will never shine to standard, etc, etc, etc.

If you want someone to tell you how good you're doing, don't go in the military. All services will only focus on what you do wrong (even if it's right).

Discovery Channel did a special on it called "Making Marines" that follows a group of recruits through training at Paris Island. There is also a book called "Boot."

goarmy.com has a ton of videos about boot camp and the various MOS. Marines might have something similar.

If you check my questions you'll find a post I put up the other day on the workout I'm using to get ready for army basic, which is similar but shorter.

It's no fun, i promise. Hah, they kicked me out of boot camp because i refused to do what they told me. Can you take people yelling in your face all day? Wouldn't you punch your officer too? Well he deserved it...No one has the right to yell into your face if you're about to go die for them!

It's a training period where they teach you how to get involved in other countries affairs and go to their homeland and kill them.

No way will you know what it is like until you do it. Either you can handle extreme conditions with orders or you can't.
