What's better, Sky Sports1, Sky Sports 2 or ESPN?

I'm thinking about getting 1 channel, but can't really afford the whole package. I'm aware ESPN costs a bit more a month but that's fine if it's worth it.
The main reason I want 1 is to watch football (mainly PL (Liverpool) and Champions League)
Any personal experience would be great.
