Ok, I have a telescope, but I can't lug that around everywhere I go.
I have a 450d with the 18-55mm kit lens, which is ok, but obviously doesn't compare to the scope
So possibly a dumb question, but I would I be better suited going for a zoom lens or a prime lens?
The telescope already gives a deep view of specific subjects and vistas of the sky in general. But it isn't portable.
Would a 55-250 or 70-300 give me a portable version (to an extent) of the scope? Would a telephoto (dependant on setting obviously) still give me a good clear image at full zoom.
Or would I be better off going for a very sharp and clear prime lens, that doesn't give in depth images, but instead provides a huge image of the entire sky?
I'm a bit new to photography in general.... So maybe I am talking jargon
So, perhaps ignore what I have said above! But can you please give me an example or two of a suitable lens for me?
Cheers
