Running once a week for a mile. (I'm very bad at running, but I think if I were to keep doing it, I'd improve. I run like a 12 minute mile. Kind of pathetic.)
Or a 2 hour 12 mile (I think it's 12 miles, at least, maybe it was 16. Can't remember.) bike ride a week.

Or are they not comparable?

i use to run but with my injury biking is so wounderfull you sound like your in great shape

they are not really comparable because you don't use all of the same parts of your body

They both have there advantages. Biking is less wear and tear on your body but running burns more calories etc. But regardless you need to do them more than once a week to see much improvement. Most experts recommend at least 30 minutes 3 times a week to improve cardio. Maybe you can alternate them.

if you can do 16 miles in 2hrs u r amazin!!!

i say running, i dont own a bike and i love running, just took part in a 10k which is arounf 6.5miles and i did that in 1hr 3mins
but yea runin on a treadmill with ur music on at the gym, gives u the best feel ever! i try doin atleast 5k a week!

Bike is low impact. You can go fast(that is always fun). Cover more ground, see more of whatever.. its the beach where I live =)

Both of them work differently on the body, so are beneficial in their own respect. Many people cross train by running during one exercising period and biking during another.
So you can run once a week for 2 weeks and then bike the next week or something. If you really want to improve though, you should consider exercising a couple more times a week as well :).

Bike. You wreck your knees running. Bike is low impact, but still great for muscle and cardio.
