What's best to feed a dog raw or cooked?

If you're referring to meat, cooked. NEVER feed a dog raw meat. It's just as bad for them as it is for you.

PS: Please remember that dogs are domesticated. You aren't feeding a pack of wolves, you're feeding an animal that comes from generations of being house bred.

Being born a "Dog", then I prefer my meat cooked to a temperature of 185* in the core. Cooked meat is easier to digest and kills the bugs.

Either or.

It doesn't matter really, what did they do in the wild?
They will eat it anyway and they won't be sick. Unless they are allergic to that meat.

Raw chicken (dont listern to the people who say its bad. Any one will tell you its good even on a web site)

RAW all the way! Of course!!!! Think of the wild dogs / wolf they eat whole raw meat diet. Their stomach acid is MUCH stronger than us humans to be able to digest and kill the harmful bacteria. They also have much shorter intestine than us human which bacteria and other harmful ingredients can easily pass through.

TOTALLY RAW ALL THE WAY.

I am really sorry to the a lot of the posters who insist on cooked, but there is a great deal of misinformation there.

I suggest the person asking the question asks again on the yahoo raw feeders group or forum or whatever it is. Keep meaning to take a look there myself.

A dogs digestive system is totally different to a human's and cannot be compared. Loads and loads of us feed raw ALL the time and have fit healthy dogs for it.

Raw is more species appropriate.

Dogs do not have the same type of digestive system as humans. They are not as prone to bacterial infections from the meat. They evolved from animals that eat dead animals. Wild dogs and wolves typically don't have ovens.

Many people very successfully feed their dogs raw diets.
