what's after a marine boot camp?

im planning on joining the marines next year. My question is..what happens after i complete their boot camp? where do i go?? will i ever see my family again after "Family Day"? i would like to see my gf again...i also heard about PDS..i live in chicago..would i stay here or go to another unit??

you get i think 10 days of leave and then go to combat training
