I was looking at 'Upgrading and Repairing PCs (18th Edition)' by Scott Mueller. I have the 11th edition and was thinking about the new 18th edition. But, after reading some of the more critical reviews on Amazon.com, I'm not so sure I should get it. They say the author doesn't cover some new and commonly used advances like duel core technologies and other such things.

Has anyone read this new edition? I'm sure the new edition is great, despite not talking much about a few things. You can read the review at this link:

If you know of a better, up to date book on the subject of Computer hardware, please let me know. I am entering into computer programming and want to study hardware. I can read the 11th edition for historical value if you think there is a better book that doesn't cover history like Scott Mueller does.

Thanks all.
