What's a good recipe for pan cooking salmon? How long should you let it marinate?

The salmon does not require marination. Melt some butter in the pan, add some diced celery and onion. With Your seasoning maybe add some pepper. I usually make it with either salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder. Or use salmon and fish seasoning which I have been using lately because My Wife bought it. Now fry on some were between medium to high heat and turn the salmon and stir the celery and onion until the salmon is browned and the vegetables are tender. This cooks fast, so watch it.

Use a non stick pan and first season the salmon well with salt and pepper or the McCormicks.
Put the salmon in the dry pan on a medium heat untill some of the natural oils start to come out and the bottom starts to brown lightly/then flip it over after a few minutes and let the other side brown (about 3 minutes each side, Then add 1/2 cup water when it starts to sizzle and boil lower the heat and put on the cover for about 4 or five minutes or untill the water is gone.
