I'm curious, does anyone know whatever happened to the production of the 666Satan Anime? Apparently, in some french anime magazine, it was announced in an interview that Seishi Kishimoto had a studio working on a 666Satan Anime, but it never happened. This interview was posted at least two years ago, so what happened?

For those who don't know, 666Satan is a manga published by Seishi Kishimoto, the twin brother of Masashi Kishimoto, the creator of super-popular shonen series Naruto. The best way I could describe it in one sentence is Naruto meets Dragonball meets Eureka Seven. It follows a different name over here, O-Parts Hunter, and is published by Viz Media.

While the story and art has it's parallels with Naruto, I think that 666Satan surpasses Naruto in story and writing. It ended last year, I believe in Spring. So what happened to the anime? Did it just disappear?

I don't know, but I hope 666 Satan does get made into an anime, I really enjoyed the manga and Jio was my favourite character in the series, honestly to me it seems like it's been years since the manga ended

I actually think I heard something awhile ago about Cyber Connects 2 doing a 666Satan video game that might tie into the manga, but that project may have just been speculation due to a teaser page. I also heard at another forum that they were formally announcing it in this month's Shonen Gangan, but I didn't hear about it on Anime News Network, who are usually knowledgeable about these sort of things.

I really don't believe that it wouldn't be produced based upon offending the reiligous. For one, D. Gray-man's plot also was based upon religious material, and they got an anime. And second, I mean, this is the country that put Kodomo no Jikan on TV, they can take a few references to the Kaballah.

Not unless if they changed the name of it, which VIZ actually chose a fitting name for the manga when they licensed it

But there's nothing really offensive about it , it's actually a fairly enjoyable series

If you think about it, there was a character named Mr. Satan in DRAGONBALL, and that didn't offend anybody
