What year is this Bmx bike and what can I do to make it better?

you might want to change the back rim or if ur short on cash u can just change the hub. if u want a strong chain look at the half links. u might want to tilt the handle bars a bit forward. change the stem coz it looks like a brick and also look into 3 peice cranks there alot better. and im not sure of any bike shops round there.

bought a GT Dyno Blaze bike today.
I can't find what year it is. Its driving me crazy.
Oh well I want to fix it up but idk what to do first or how.
Chain is rusted, so change that
Brakes suck I learned that the hard way =(
both brakes it has the back wheel brakes and the back pedal brake which i am not fond of, anyway I can get rid of that?
Point is I need help Maybe I can do some stuff myself
I don't know much about bikes I'm a car type of girl.
Also I live in austin so a good cheap bike shop for parts?

Oh and it rust as you can tell from the picture
I bought it for less than 10 bucks.
And i just want it to run smoothly.

its not any kind of great "vintage" if that's what your hoping. its from the late 90s or early this decade. if you want to make it freewheel instead of coaster brake your going to need a new back wheel. honestly it wasn't worth $50 brand new so don't blow your whole wad on it. good luck!
