What Year Did GM Start Using the 3800 Series II?

What year did GM start using the Series II 3.8l V6? I'm not sure if it's '93, '94, '95. I know it's somewhere around then. I want to avoid the Series II's junk plastic intake that destroys the motor.
Thanks, boogie. Yes, I was meaning the non-supercharged 3.8L V6. Are you sure Series II came out in '95? I've seen '94s that have the plastic engine cover on that says "3800 series II".
