I have a 1999 Buick Lesabre and the body is torn up. I still drive it but it needs a lot of work done to the front end as it was wrecked when i bought it and then i wrecked it again in the same spot. So now i have all kinds of problems such as inner tie rod problems and wheel bearings and such as well as all of the body work that needs to be done and i was thinking it would be a whole lot cheaper if i just bought a body to another Buick Lesabre and transferred the engine, cooling system and transmission since i have just gotten all of them rebuilt or replaced. The car runs so good and i don't want to get rid of it just want to escape the expenses of body work. Which would be the cheapest? The collision place told me $2500 for body work not including the bearings or tie rod. And which other year of Buick Lesabre could i put the motor, transmission and cooling system in where it would fit?

i figure it,s a 3800 engine so you can put the engine in a oldsmobile, buick or pontiac but not chevy. you can use from 1986 up to 1990 i believe. i think before 1985 they had a distributor, not a coil pack. so because of the wiring harness you need something that will plug into your module.
