I have a 2005 Ford focus zx3 se. For about a month now, I have been unable to shift into reverse without some grinding noise. I attributed it to having to replace the clutch, even though my clutch is not slipping. It has topped off fluids, and shifted into every other gear fine. Then the other day, second gear finally gave out. I can not shift into second whatsoever, even when the car is turned off. Can this be a synchro? Or is it still just a problem with the clutch. All my other gears work just fine, and you can hear them engage in the transmission when the car is off. But on second it wont make any noise, not even a grinding.
