What would you like to ask?best method and time to cook half a leg of lamb.?

I'm from American so I do not know what Kg means. We cook meat 20 minutes per pound. I would put oil on the lamb, put onion and garlic salt on too. Bake it half way in oven in a roating pan with tin foil on it. Last half hour, take off foil to brown.

Make sure you let meat cool down for at least ten minutes so that it is juicy.
 
i have a half leg of lamb weight 0.980kg. how long will i cook it for and which method is best i.e uncovered/covered. i dont have a crockpot. thanks for all ideas.
i forgot, what temp as well. i know, im useless.
