What would you do in this situation? Would you walk away?
I was getting to know this guy and I liked him so far and then he asks me for advice on a situation with another woman! After I gave my input, he said this:
"Are you still interested in getting to know me, the way you seemed to be before? I honestly don't want to get to know any other girls, but I want to know if you think we could ever amount to anything more than friends. These past couple of months I've really tried to talk to other women, because I felt like you had lost interest in me, but something keeps pointing me back to you."
I responded with the following, "I just like to get to know someone before I can think of them in a romantic way. You're probably not used to that with those women declaring their love like that, but this is just how I am."
And he responded, "I'm the same way, Lauren. Why do you think I keep pursuing you? Because I know you are worth the wait and the effort. I hope you don't think I am attracted to girls that do that, because I most definitely am not. I do want to add that I am NOT in love with my ex still like you thought before. Are you still in love with yours?"
How is he "pursuing" me if he's been seeing another woman and came to me for advice about it!?
What do you all think of this situation? How should I respond to this? I feel like telling him that telling me about other women is NOT the way to pursue someone.
