What would you do if your boyfriend forbid you from going to clubs/ lounge's when...

...your 21.? I just turned 21 four months ago. Before I met my boyfriend (1 1/2 years ago) I loved to dance and party but around the time I met him I was burnt out on the club atmosphere.

Now that I'm 21 and can get in anywhere I wanted to go to a lounge which is more of a classy environment.

My boyfriend hates that type of crowd and doesn't approve of me going.

I love to dress up and have drinks with my friends but b/c guys will be there and many like to take women home he doesn't want me to go.

He'd rather me sit outside every night with him and do absolutely nothing. I don't think he trusts me when I'm not around him.

I miss my best girlfriends and don't see them often.

Should I go anyway?
 
yes you should go because there is no reason to be missing out on all the fun you could be having. even though he may not trust you it is a way to show that you will be faithful to him if someone were trying to pick you up. and if you show that you will be faithful then he should start trusting you
 
It might not be that he doesn't trust you. My boyfriend is the same way, and I've come to understand that he doesn't trust other guys and that's why he doesn't want me around people like that. He just wants to protect you and for you to be decent. And unless you want a huge arguement and possible a break up, no you should not go anyway. If you can't live without going to clubs, then you can't live with your boyfriend. One of them has to go.
 
yes you should go! don't let him control you like that. he knew you were into that stuff when you got together so now he needs to accept it. i say if he doesn't like then off to the curb he should go! i hate that women/men will stop something they enjoy doing just b/c their significant other doesn't approve. I mean come on! your 21 and have your whole life ahead of you and girl there are so many men out there that would love to be with someone as outgoing as you seem to be. enjoy your life regardless.
