hey yall my treo 700p died so i need to get a new phone quick.. a friend of mine says he has 3 phones a spriint ppc 6700, the verizon xv6700, and a xv6600. he says i can have whichever one i want. which one would you choose? also which would be the easiest to flash to cricket. i thought i remeraber reading an article about the xv6700 being easy to flash but not sure.. thanks guys im having trouble deciding
 
i was readng through the htc touch thread and decided to ask my friend if he could get me one.. he says he has a brand new sprint touch with a bad esn hell give me for a 100 bucks.. its sounRAB too good to pass up.. i dont know how far along everyone is with getting the cricket wap mms etc to work but was wondering if i should go for the touch or the xv6700?im confident i can flash the xv6700 myself with the help of the forim guide but could someone as stupid as me get the HTC TOUCH fully flashed to cricket with mms etc...i just really want to be kool like the rest of yall with a touch,, ya feel me :cool:

by the way my friend says the phone is locked.. heres a screen of what he says it looks like on the locked screen.. can i bypass this lock?
 
That depenRAB: The Touch is amazingly simple to set-up for Cricket with the right ROM, but without that, you are going to have a headache.

You are correct in assuming that the 6700 is a breeze--it is. You can get voice working on it in only a few minutes, and WAP and MMS if you follow all of the guides here with very little trouble.

Tell you what: Buy that Touch from your friend for $100, and I'll give you $150 for it! :D
 
i gave him a brand new xbox 360 less than 2 weeks ago dfor his birthday so im guessing thats why hes giving it to me for a bill,now i feel bad that i dont have another couple phones to give you guys.....awesome..now i feell guilty and still dont have a touch :( ..i guess ill spend a little time searching to see if i can acquire the correct rom.
 
WOHOO !!! htc touch on its way!!!!!! also there was one on ebay for 200$ buy it now that had the same situation, a bad esn and the phone was locked (i got the photo i posted above from the ebay phone to show as example ). So i bought that bad boy for my wife... 2 htc touch phones, 1 brand new, the second slightly used for a total of 309$... wow what a christmas!!! :2thurabs:
p.s- im gonna swap my case for a white one... check these great prices i found on touch cases and buttons etc..ive seen those cases for over 50 bucks elsewhere..18 bucks sounRAB great
