I have a 1990 Honda prelude its my old car. I replaced the muffler 4 times in a year with the baffle type mufflers and it kept burning them up. I finally said to hell with it and had the resonater cut out and replaced the pipe with 3" pipe and an Apexi N1 muffler. Could the engine be running too rich? I also replaced the converter with a 3 way one and it melted the mesh inside it. I bought an oxidation type converter it hasnt melted it yet.
what would make a honda prelude burn up mufflers?
