a 1999 Pontiac Montana? I own a 1999 Pontiac Montana van. As of yesterday when I put the key in the ignition (not even turning it all the way over) a clicking/ knocking noise comes from the glove box area. I drove it a few blocks and the sound is accompanied with what almost sounds like a small motor, or wind-up toy that won't quit running. The van is running like it does, the 'check engine soon' light has not come on, its really annoying and just seems to get worse. I opened the hood and looked at the engine and it looked like a panel that normally sat up under that area had come off (its a panel that has little yellow stickers that say "warning window wipers will start with out the engine on" or something to that nature) and I remember seeing the side of this panel all the way up kind of under that area. But when I listened the sound sounded like it was coming from inside the van, so I open the door and it sounds like its coming from the glove box area..... help me.... what could this be? Is it something to be too concerned about? I am a single mother and funds are limited. If its still drivable I will just drive it.
