What would it cost to build a tri-bike?

I am looking to buy a used tri-bike, but in my search for one I am coming up with a lot of frame/fork for sale. If I was just looking for an entry level bike what would I be looking at price wise for components and wheels? Like I said I am just getting started in the sport so I am looking to keep my cost down. I need something decent that will get me through a season or two.

You should start off with a good used road bike and put clip on aero bars on it. It will get you into the sport for a lot less money.
