As for your question, it'll never happen. Ichiro is a Mariner through and through. I doubt he will ever play on any other team, as Seattle would be willing to pay whatever the other teams would offer him.

As for your Paul O'Neil comparison, I guess you can call it in terms of effort, but Ichiro is a lot better of a player than O'Neil was.
