What would I do to get more HP to a Dodge Stratus?

I recently purchased a 2004 Dodge Stratus. It has the 2.4L V4 and I want a little more punch, but don't know much about working on cars. What can I do to get a little more power in the car, short of weight reduction and a new motor?

were talking simple stuff that will help get maybe +5% for around $100 each.
 
Anything you do besides forced induction or nitrous is not going to get you much gains in horsepower especially for the money.

First do all the required maintenance(spark plugs, oil, transmission fluid) to make the car is running its best.

After that the furthest I would go is to buy a cheap ebay intake(why pay a premium for a piece of metal? Just be sure to get good couplers and clamps) and maybe have a catback exhaust made for you at a local shop.

You can also increase you timing for a minimal gain as well.
