What would happen if you eat too much chips or fried stuff?

If you're chinese (like me), we would say it's "hot air". Not like warm air, but the meaning of what would happen if you eat too much of those foods. But is there a way to say it in english?

If it helps you understand what I talking about, the symptoms of being "hot air" are bloody nose, sore throat, etc.
