What would happen if I swung my car door hard too much?

I got a brand new car. I accidentally swung the door very hard to the maximum. Would that do any damage to the car once?
Would swinging it to the max damage the hinges if I only swung it once?
I'm just using myself as an example because it's a long story...
 
Probably not.

But how did you accidentally swing it to the max?

If you did it to much then it would bend the hinges and it wouldn't close right.
