What would eat mouse poison other than a mouse?

I had a problem with mice around 4 months ago and subsequently laid poison around the ground floor and got some of the ultra sound plug in things. Since then I have not seen a mouse but the poison is still been taken at a very fast rate. I have not found any dead mice. Could something else be eating the poison as I'd of thought that if it was a mouse i would have seen it again by now since the poison is disappearing so quickly (i.e. 40grams goes within 2 days)?
 
Anything, including children, that thought it was food. However, the most likely scenario would be that the mice took it back to their den, ate it there, and died in their den. That is why you don't see any dead mice. There could be lots of mice in the den, so that might be why the bait is still being taken. There could be other animals around that are taking the bait too. But be careful if there are any children around. They may pick it up thinking it's something to eat.
