What would cause a high pitch buzz in 94 dodge dakota?

I will try an make this short,, I'v owned a 94 dodge dakota for 3 years. have had no problems other than replacing the water pump and radiator. Routine maintenence is all other work i have ever done. For the past two days I have heard this High pitch buzzing noise inside the cab. Other people have heard this so it isnt me, anyway it will last anywhere from 5 to 45 seconds , just when you think you have it tracked it quits, cant hear it outside the cab . Has me really confused . Dont hear it all the time. Heard it all morning yesterday on and off, in the afternoon didnt hear it but once. Can anyone help? has anyone ever had the same problem

I don't know a lot about cars but do you use the air conditioner? Well it could be that cause its an older model but i just bought a 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee today and it has a high pitch screeching sound only when i turn on the air conditioner so......Good luck:))
